Now in its fifth year of development and curently going by the name of "Piracy on the Low Seas", this game is a team-oriented room-sized board game with cool ships and figures and rich opportunities for interactive roleplay. That's Right; We're playing Pirates with little toy ships and you can play too! Still Interested? Read on! This Adventurous Ridiculousness is NOT for the faint of heart, those reluctant to engage in play, or those lacking the means... meaning that it'll cost you to get into the game! (10-20 bucks per player; teams of 2-4 players per ship.) Loot & prizes to the more successful pirates among us. The scale & esthetic of our play is based on the cool ships and articulated figures of the Megabloks Pyrate World. With a large room-sized environment, at least a dozen scale ships, and hundreds of miniature figures in play, there's room for numerous teams and many players without a required purchase of expensive toys. Piracy on the Low SeasThe Principles of the Gamefollow forthwith:To sail from port to port and on the high seas in a ship or boat with registered crewmembers, raiding or trading for treasure with ports or ships or finding buried treasure... and then depositing treasure in the Pirates' Bank. At the end of play, the winning crews will be determined by the amount of treasure banked by a surviving team, and other criteria. Updated Rules and Guidelines are in the next few pages. Ship Classes
The Purpose of PortsThere are four Ports which are essential to basic play (and several other sites of interest for optional exploration). Three of the Ports are Trade Ports and one is a Free Port. Trade Ports offer opportunities for risks and rewards, and are the primary source for acquisition of wealth. The Free Port offers opportunities to recover from risk-taking and secure that wealth. Each Trade Port is a source of one or more trade goods, and a market for other goods. The Fourth Port, Haven Harbor on Pirate Island, functions like a home base. Ships are safe from attack or royal warrant here. At Haven, ships may be repaired, injured crewmates may heal, and Booty may be Banked. Quick directions: to be given later...
