Fierce dragons form the body of this massive buckle, while the tongue is decorated with a beast head and the plate with a bold pattern. Based closely on an artifact we were privileged to examine in a private collection. Each example is hand tooled with the same kinds of punches as the Viking craftsmen used, so no two will be identical. Also available in cast version with simpler fittings in Bronze. 2 1/2" h., fits 1 1/2" belt. |
