Modeled after an artifact in our collection, this case opens to reveal a convex mirror for primping. Pewter mirror cases took a wide variety of decorative forms, but all bronze mirror cases found have this very same pattern. The cross motif is hand-engraved on each piece, so no two will be identical. A mirror like this would be a valued accessory for someone of modest means. 1 x/x" d.
